L’Ensemble Amati offers a serie of concerts for children aged 6 to 12, where it offers an original way to bring classical music and strings through a fun and interactive presentation by Robert Blondin.

Amati welcomes Quebec's youth and there families wherever they are: there schools or neighborhoods. The Maestro, the MC and the orchestra allows not only to discover news sounds and feelings that can be experienced from strings, but also to practice firts-hand the fun and unique power to make this all come together: to be a maestro for a few minutes!

Depending upon the selected thematic or program, the 55-minutes concerts can also feature young solists or choirs, with or without diaporama, and the immersion can be further improved with the help of an Amati-made student guide, a story-like booklet that helps to quench curiosity for the history of strings throughout ages.

We invite professors to let us know of any special needs so we can build together custom-fit Amatinees.

Together with the Maestro and the musicians, the children get to know the strings, the sounds they make and the feelings they express.

Images shown in diaporama on a wide screen illustrates in a humorous way the feelings brought out by the orchestra. This is an interactive, surprise-full experience, just like will be the experience of some young ones becoming maestro for a few movements.

the « Coup de Chœur » declination of this show allows for the school choirs to participate within the show. In « Cordes en fêtes », children participates in a christmas show. In « Musiques du monde », voyages are the main theme.

This Amatinees brings you to THE kingdom of magic and fantasy! The program is inspired by Walt Disney's World and the ones of other creators of fabulous universes. Melodies from films like Fantasia Snow White are to be performed, the orchestra being joined by the voices of the choirs for short performances. the composer and mixer Léon Bernier contributed especially to make this Amatinees possible.

In this show, children are invited to participate to a christmas concert with tunes such as La marche des Rois mages, Vive le Vent, Santa Claus Is Coming to Town (sung by choirs, accompanied by the orchestra!).
