Founded in 1985 by Raymond Dessaints, L'Ensemble Amati is a string orchestra formed by Quebec's best musicians, including a majority of Conservatory First Prizes.

The Ensemble continues to disseminate the rich heritage of classical music to an audience far larger than the circle of aficionados.
